James Cornetet, RA

Studioj is an emergent architecture design studio in Orlando Florida led by architect James Cornetet. James Cornetet is an architect and designer for HKS Architects, and an architectural critic for the German architecture publication Bauwelt and AIA Florida’s florida/Caribbean Architect. Cornetet is also a professor of architecture at the University of Central Florida and Valencia Community College school of architecture in Orlando, Florida. Projects designed by Cornetet range in scale, budget and type. Notable projects designed by Cornetet include the AIA Award winning Channelside parking garage in Tampa, Florida; Palm Beach Community College master plan in Lake Worth, Florida. Other significant projects include the View, a 400 foot tall proposed condo tower sited on Lake Eola in Orlando, Florida, and Eola Capital, a 200 foot tall proposed office building in Orlando, Florida. Cornetet has won several design competitions and design awards sponsored by the American Institute of Architects. His designs have been recognized both locally and nationally for exemplifying excellence in design.

Cornetet received a Bachelor of Science in Architecture in 2004 and a Master of Architecture from the University of Cincinnati in 2006. Cornetet is a LEED Accredited Professional, an NCARB certified architect, and holds a license to practice architecture in the state of Florida.
